About Jose Bauza
Jose Bauza is a Tampa-based data engineer and analytics consultant with a Master's in AI and Business Analytics from the University of South Florida.
Before founding Bauza Data Solutions, Jose spent six years building data systems that operated at serious scale.
At a fintech company, he designed and maintained real-time data pipelines processing high-volume financial transactions, including a duplicate payment detection system that identified and prevented significant financial loss. He worked daily with Kafka, Databricks, Druid, and AWS in a production environment where data accuracy was not optional.
At Fanatics, one of the largest sports retailers in the country, he built automated forecasting and inventory planning systems used by major national retail partners. That work required translating complex data into clear business decisions, fast.
He founded Bauza Data Solutions because he kept seeing the same problem: small businesses have real, expensive data problems but rarely have access to the expertise to solve them. The firms that do this work well charge enterprise rates. Everyone else gets a freelancer or a spreadsheet.
